What to Expect
Here at The Point you will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. From the moment you walk up to the building you can expect…
A Warm Greeting
A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. No matter what question you might have just ask. Our greeters are there to help you get settled and comfortable.
Come As You Are
You are welcome the way you are. On the "outside," how you dress is not a big deal, as long as you come dressed. As for the "inside," God can handle where you are at and we trust Him with you.
Expect to be noticed. Expect people to say something like, “Hi, we haven’t met before, is this your first time?”. Expect for people to reach out to you in love.
Worship can be a time of intimacy with God. The lights are dimmed in the sanctuary during praise and worship. The altar area is open during every praise & worship time to give you an opportunity to dance before the Lord or kneel before the altar of the Lord. As for the music, you will hear every type from contemporary worship, traditional worship, and original worship songs.
The elders and congregation seek to let God have His way in every service. We strive to be led by Holy Spirit and allow Him complete control. We do believe in the gifts of the Spirit and that they operate still today. (1 Cor. 12:8-12) If the Lord wants to speak a word of wisdom, or have us pray for healing, we want to be sensitive to that leading. All things should be done in decency and in order. We all submit to one another, honoring elders as they have a responsibility to God concerning our souls.
Communion is available every service. The early church did it every time they gathered to remind them of what Jesus did. The communion elements are available on both sides of the sanctuary each service so that when you are moved to partake of the elements you are able to.
